CLARKSBURG — Now that the ghosts and goblins have had their fun, Clarksburg officials are making plans for the annual Christmas parade and New Year’s Eve celebration.
The Christmas parade will be Dec. 6, said Kathy Titus, executive director of the Greater Clarksburg Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Participants will line up at 5 p.m. outside the Harrison County Senior Citizens Center at the corner of West Main and Sixth streets, Titus said.
The parade will proceed down Main Street to Second Street, turn down Second Street to Pike Street and continue down Pike Street, ending at the post office, Titus said.
“We always pray for good weather,” she said. “We can take the cold, as long as it’s not wet.”
The theme for this year’s parade is “Christmas Past and Present,” Titus said.
